Eczema Herpeticum
Eczema herpeticum is a severe and potentially life-threatening skin infection that arises in individuals with pre-existing eczema when the herpes simplex virus (usually HSV-1 or HSV-2) invades compromised skin. This condition manifests as a rapidly spreading rash with clusters of painful blisters, accompanied by symptoms like fever and swollen lymph nodes.
Eczema Herpeticum
The herpes simplex virus exploits breaks in the eczematous skin, leading to a systemic infection that, if left untreated, can result in serious complications.
