Hypothyroidism

A condition in which the thyroid gland doesn’t produce enough thyroid hormone.
Hypothyroidism’s deficiency of thyroid hormones can disrupt such things as heart rate, body temperature and all aspects of metabolism.
Hypothyroidism is most prevalent in older women.
Major symptoms include fatigue, cold sensitivity, constipation, dry skin and unexplained weight gain

Hypothyroidism

The thyroid gland makes two main hormones: thyroxine (T-4) and triiodothyronine (T-3). These hormones affect every cell in the body. They support the rate at which the body uses fats and carbohydrates. They help control body temperature. They have an effect on heart rate. And they help control how much protein the body makes.
