James Tyler Kent

James Tyler Kent M.D. (31 March 1849 – 5 June 1916) was a highly influential American homeopathic physician. J. T. Kent held an appointment as Professor of Anatomy in the American Medical College, St. Louis, and he was also Professor of Materia Medica at the Homoeopathic Medical College of St. Louis, the School of Homoeopathy, Philadelphia, the Chicago Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital, and the Hering Medical College and Hospital, also in Chicago. Kent was also the President and Trustee of the Chicago Homoeopathic Hospital at 711 South Wood Street.

J. T. Kent was a member of the Illinois State Homœopathic Medical Society, the American Institute of Homœopathy, and the International Hahnemannian Association. He also held an honorary corresponding membership in the British Homoeopathic Medical Society.
