Allergic Disorders

Allergic disorders encompass a diverse range of immune system reactions to substances typically harmless to most individuals. These reactions can vary from mild symptoms like sneezing and itching to severe, life-threatening anaphylaxis. Common triggers include pollen, certain foods, insect venom, and medications. Allergies arise when the immune system mistakenly identifies these substances, known as allergens, as threats, leading to the production of antibodies like IgE. Upon subsequent exposure, these antibodies trigger the release of histamine and other chemicals, resulting in the manifestation of allergic symptoms.  Allergic disorders significantly impact individuals’ quality of life and necessitate careful management and awareness.
